Coonawarra Petanque Tournament
The sounds of clashing steel balls, screams of delight and the clink of wine glasses will echo around the Coonawarra Township this weekend. The 12th Annual 'Coonawarra Vignerons Classic Clash' Petanque tournament will be held on 9 and 10 February 2008, at the Piste, in the Coonawarra Park. The 'Classic Clash' has become a highlight of the national Petanque calendar, with some of Australia's best players coming from Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and the Limestone Coast to compete in this prestigious event.
