The rural community of Tintinara is situated 196 km south east of Adelaide and is along the Dukes Highway between Melbourne and Adelaide. It is central to several conservation parks, including the important ecology of the Coorong National Park.
This is an area specialising in cropping and beef cattle. It also
backs onto the Little Desert that continues through to Western Victoria.

- Explore the 5 km "Tym's Lookout International Walking Track" that is accessible by 2-wheel drive vehicles. Only 5km from the Dukes Highway, giving you, the visitor, a wonderful introduction to a pristine mallee park.
- Bushwalking, photographing native flora and fauna or birdwatching at the Coorong, can all be enjoyed in our district, while antiques and wineries are within easy access.
